We've been working with Blaise Barton at JoyRide studio, who has done an amazing job mastering 'You Could Be Something When You Disappear'. You can hear some of the results on the 'Sounds' page at www.astronomermusic.com. He's adding a few finishing touches on the remaining songs, and then it's off for vinyl production!H

Our Kickstarter was a great success and tomorrow we're mastering the record with Blaise Barton and Joyride studios! Mastering will probably take a week at the most, not because of anything fancy, but it takes a while to play the masters on different stereo systems. Sunday, we also got the inserts for the vinyl designed by my talent friend Sheila Sachs. When we have all the parts together, we'll be sending out with the hope they will be turned in 9 weeks! It's very exciting to finally reach this stage!
Thanks for anyone who reached out with their preorders!
Friday's the last day for preordering vinyl through Kickstarter, and people have been very generous sending in contributions this week!
Thanks for all of your support!

Our Kickstarter has been going great, but we've still got a little to go before we hit out goal!
If you haven't already, and thanks to all of you who have already donated!
Hey guys, we're excited about our first Kickstarter campaign for The Astronome!
We’ve finished recording and remixing our latest record ‘You Could Be Something When You Disappear’ with Mark Greenburg at the Wilco loft studios.
Now we’re getting ready to master the record with Blaise Barton at JoyRide studios, and press 500 vinyl records. Here’s where you can help us with your support!
Everyone who contributes $5 will receive a free download of our covers EP done just for this campaign. It includes some of our favorite songs by New Order, Townes Van Zandt, Brian Eno, Big Star and The Muppets.
We’ll also be offering additional levels of donation incentives, including a downloadable version of ‘You Could Be Something When You Disappear’, pre-orders of the vinyl version, guitar or songwriting lessons with Charles, and demo recording sessions at his studio.
We’re really proud of the music and the work we’ve done on this record, and we hope you can help us make the vinyl production a reality.
Please check out our kickstarter link for more information and thanks again for all your support!
